Hello

My name is Jeremy Behrens and I am an Associate Counselor at Reflections Counseling & Wellness. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey and graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Grounded in the principles of Buddhism, I integrate meditation and mindfulness into my therapeutic approach, guiding individuals through the complexities of mental health challenges with compassion and insight.

My Story

With a rich background spanning the non-profit and higher education sectors, my journey began as a data analyst and evolved into a decade-long commitment to volunteering with the Philadelphia chapter of the National MS Society. My passion for direct individual support and advocacy for mental health normalization and inclusion fuels my work. I aim to normalize mental health treatment, particularly for men. I collaborate closely with Rowan University’s Office of Accessibility, ensuring accessibility and support for all clients.

Continuously honing my skills, I bring a diverse toolkit to my practice, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt techniques, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), all underpinned by a trauma-informed perspective. I foster acceptance and understanding in my therapeutic role, prioritizing active listening and genuine connection to support each client's unique healing journey.

Grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt techniques, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I provide trauma-informed therapy to help individuals heal from trauma and manage complicated relationships and emotions. I have a particular interest in empowering teens and adults with ADHD through Executive Functioning coaching and supporting parents of neurodiverse teens.
