Hello
My name is Loren O’Brien, and I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My goal is to create a safe, genuine space where clients feel understood and empowered to grow into more connected, confident versions of themselves. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, discovering new coffee shops, and finding creative outlets that keep me grounded and inspired.
My Story
Like many therapists, my path to this work began long before graduate school. I’ve always been someone who feels things deeply and is curious about what makes people think, feel, and connect the way they do. My training is rooted in systemic and attachment-based approaches that emphasize how our relationships -both past and present- shape who we are.

I believe healing happens through connection - when we feel seen, understood, and accepted. In sessions, I aim to create a space that feels both grounding and freeing, where clients can safely explore their emotions, patterns, and hopes for change. My work integrates attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with somatic and mindfulness-based tools to support regulation and awareness.
I work with teens, young adults, adults, and couples navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and the process of rediscovering themselves. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence, helping them better understand their inner world and develop tools that honor how their brain works. My approach is warm, collaborative, and experiential, helping clients build insight, self-compassion, and new ways of relating to themselves and others.

Whether we’re working individually or in a relationship, my goal is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, develop deeper self-understanding, and create the change you want to see in your life.
