Hello

Hello!  My name is Rose Fedechko and I am an Associate Counselor at Reflections Counseling & Wellness.  I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from  Wilmington University and a BA in Psychology from The Citadel, Military School of South Carolina. When not in the office, I enjoy time with my family and training my therapy dog (Maximus) to work with children and those coping with PTSD symptoms.

My Story

Counseling is not my first career. I served in the Army, attaining the rank of Captain, and I am a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After the Army, I became a  Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant specializing in sensory integration with children, teens, and adults. I spent over six years working with elementary and secondary school children to help them process and regulate their sensory systems. I have also worked in skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. It was during this time that I realized I wanted to use sensory integration to help people struggling with their mental health.

Although I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I have found that using these approaches with sensory integration helps clients regulate their emotions and achieve relief from their mental health symptoms. I work primarily with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.

Every journey needs a first step and I look forward to helping you take it.
